A community hospital in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Operating Officer to join their team.
This nonprofit medical center has 100+ beds. The Emergency Department sees an average of 90,000 patients a year and has state of the art facilities. The hospital has received The Joint Commission Gold Seal of Approval for Hospital Accreditation. The Chief Nursing Officer would have the opportunity to work for a hospital that takes the time to understand its community’s needs.
The Chief Nursing Officer is responsive le for the planning and direction of all nursing services over the hospital. They will provide leadership and administer patient care programs, aid in developing new services, and participate in strategic hospital planning. Their main responsibility will be to ensure quality of nursing care is expanded to other clinical units to assure effective patient care services.
The CNO/COO Chief Nursing Officer will mentor and support hospital administrators, nurse directors, nurse managers and support staff. They will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer and hospital executives. They will be expected to encourage best practice amongst all nursing department leaders.
