Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA

Reporting to the Chief of Surgery, the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgery under orders of an Anesthesiologist. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will administer drugs and anesthetic agents and carry out life support functions. The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will also assist with emergency response as necessary.

The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will prepare the surgical site using aseptic techniques and deliver conscious sedation and psychological support to the patient as needed. Personality and communication skills are key, as the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist CRNA will provide emotional comfort and support to patients and family members as appropriate.
