Reporting to the Nursing Director and collaborating with the Medical Director of Cardiology, the ARNP Cardiovascular Services will primarily oversee the care of cardiac surgery patients. The hospital is looking for someone with previous cardiovascular critical care experience either as a Registered Nurse or as an Nurse Practitioner who can provide leadership and direction throughout the hospital.
The Inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner will have specific knowledge of cardiovascular evidence-based best practices while utilizing expert skills such as placement of central and arterial lines. The ARNP Cardiovascular Services is responsible for the nursing process, providing clinical education to staff and patients, and delivering patient care across the healthcare continuum. Due to the nature of this role within the organization, some research will be required which will be used to further enhance the quality of patient care that is delivered.
