Cancer Inpatient Oncology Nurse Manager

An award winning hospital in New Jersey is actively seeking a Cancer Inpatient Oncology Nurse Manager to join their team.

The Nurse Manager of Oncology will join a facility ranked one of the best places to work in New Jersey. The Inpatient Cancer Nurse Manager will join one of the most highly recognized, innovative, specialized cancer centers in the country. This research facility rethinks the way cancer is approached, integrating advanced technology, research and techniques to prevent, treat, and cure cancer. Highly specialized multidisciplinary teams collaborate to develop actionable, comprehensive patient care plans, no matter the stage or severity of the cancer. 

The Oncology Cancer Nurse Manager will oversee the inpatient oncology unit, consisting of Oncology Nurse Educators, Oncology Nurse Practitioners, Pediatric Oncology specialists, nurses and managers, Oncology Certified Nurse Specialists, senior staff and various technicians with diverse oncology backgrounds. The Oncology Cancer unit will consist of specialists overseeing the medical surgical unit, immunology, pediatric oncology, bone marrow transplants, infusion, hematology, and radiation, with a common goal of delivering exceptional patient care. The Nurse Manager of Oncology will collaborate and oversee multidisciplinary teams, work closely with Oncologists, Pathologists, Hematologists, Surgeons, and specialized staff to develop comprehensive patient care plans. Other responsibilities will include overseeing operational workflow, departmental budgets, developing and exceeding performance improvement metrics, enforcing department initiatives, policy and procedures, and staffing the department. The Oncology Nurse Manager will have previous leadership experience with an oncology background, preferably OCN, ONS, ONCC, AONS, PALS, or ACLS certified.
