The Behavioral Health Nurse Director RN will join a DNV-GL Accredited community hospital that was founded over 125 years ago. Each year their busy Emergency department experiences an annual volume of over 45,000 visits. The hospital’s medical group offers primary care for infants, children, adults, as well as comprehensive ob/gyn and midwifery care.
The hospital’s behavioral health department is expanding and plans to construct a brand-new stand-alone Psychiatric facility on the hospital’s campus pending Department of Public Health approval. The Behavioral Health Nurse Director RN will help oversee the buildout of the new facility offering a great opportunity to gain this type of experience as well as future opportunities to grow within the organization. The current Behavioral Health department consists of a 20-bed inpatient unit, a 6-bed psych pod in the Emergency Department, and 30 full-time equivalent staff members. This newly created position will report to the hospital’s Chief Nursing Officer and Administrative Director of Behavioral Health.
