The Assistant Director of Pediatrics will join a facility that has a Child Development Center, Pediatric Specialty Care, and an award-winning pediatric emergency services. This hospital has been a staple of the community for many years, and the incoming Assistant Director will play a large role in keeping it that way.
Reporting to the Administrative Director of Women’s and Children’s Services, the Assistant Director will provide direction for this Acute Pediatric department. Supporting the Assistant Director of Peds are Clinical Peds Nursing Supervisors, as well as CPN Charge Nurses. This Assistant Director will have the opportunity to work closely with Nursing Leaders from across the Inpatient spectrum, including those from Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU (PICU), and Pediatric Emergency.
The Inpatient Pediatric Assistant Director supervises Acute Care Pediatrics, Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU), and Pediatric Med-Surg overflow. The Assistant Nurse Director will oversee a 20-bed PEDS department as well as a Pediatric ICU. The Pediatrics staff and department is always a fun, warm, and welcoming environment where kids feel comfortable and at home as they heal and recover.
The Assistant Director of Pediatrics will lead and manage the daily operations of the Pediatric Department. This person will serve the staff by empowering nurses to excel in clinical excellence, patient advocacy, and quality improvement. The person will get to be a change agent and leader for this department. As an administrator, the Assistant Director will also take oversight of budgetary maintenance, as will serve as a subject matter expert in Pediatrics and Children’s health throughout the facility.
