The Assistant Nurse Manager of Mental Health will join a facility that is part of a statewide healthcare system focusing on quality patient centered care that uses not only evidence based practice but also patient satisfaction to measure the quality of care. The Assistant Nurse Manager of Mental Health directs and supervises daily operations, resources, employees, and performance improvement on a 24-hour basis in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Manager of Psych Health. The Assistant Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health will develop management skills pursuant to growth to higher level management position.

The Assistant Nurse Manager of Mental Health will assist in development and attainment of the unit's goals while ensuring staff provide high quality, accessible, cost effective care, and patient focused services while complying with local, state, and federal requirements.  The Assistant Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health will assist with the monitoring of financial performance and identifies/implements strategies to reduce costs and improve quality of care/service while reviewing budgets for the appropriate use of human and material resources.

The Assistant Nurse Manager of Psych Health will provide clinical supervision to patient care staff while determining the appropriate staff mix for the department and screen, interview, hire, train, and maintain the competency of all department staff.  The Assistant Nurse Manager of Mental Health will assist and resolve human resource, employee and department safety, and risk management issues.

This position is ideal for the Assistant Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health who has a passion for contributing to the wellbeing of mental health and behavioral health patients. Candidates should have Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Master’s degree in Nursing or in a health-related field is preferred.  Three years clinical experience and leadership in Mental Health Nursing with Epic user experience preferred.
