A reputable hospital in the suburbs of Southwest Ohio is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager to lead their level one Labor and Delivery unit! The hospital is a part of a large health care system in the Midwest. This is a smaller 100 bed community hospital and is dedicated to evolving to support the needs of its diverse community. Recent hospital upgrades include an updated family birthing center, where the Labor and Delivery Assistant Nurse Manager will be concentrated.
The Labor and Delivery Assistant Nurse Manager will be responsible for managing, training and evaluating the performance of Registered Nurses, Nurse Educators and other employees in the Labor and Delivery unit. Reporting to the Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager, they will be assisting in the development of budgeting and goal setting of the unit. The Assistant Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery will be expected to report to a 30 minute call response time and should be well versed in the entire birthing process and styles.
The Labor and Delivery unit is responsible for over 400 births per year. Supported by over 16 direct reports that include Registered Nurses and Nurse Educators, the Labor and Delivery Assistant Nurse Manager will be leading a dynamic team of individuals in a busy unit.
