Reporting to the department Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager Cardiopulmonary Care Unit will be accountable for overseeing operational workflow, assist with new-hire education, provide direct patient care, and act as the hospital resource for the hospital’s cardiopulmonary support unit.
Ideally, the Assistant Nurse Manager Cardiopulmonary Care Unit will have a recent clinical background working in an acute care cardiac or pulmonary support unit, hold their BSN, and either hold or be willing to obtain their PCCN certification. Since this individual will be the unit mentor and hospital department resource nurse, the Assistant Nurse Manager Cardiopulmonary Care Unit will be a confident communicator, be up to date on best practices and techniques, lead by example, maintain an optimistic positive attitude, and be excited to cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
