Assistant Nurse Director Emergency Services

An exciting new opportunity just opened for an Assistant Nursing Director Emergency Nursing Operations with a Magnet designated hospital in the Southern New Jersey / Philadelphia / Delaware region.  This ED Nurse Leader will join an extensive healthcare system that is growing by the day.

The academic medical center prides itself on its continued dedication to advancing the profession of nursing and enhancing the overall health of the community. This non-profit 500-bed hospital recently announced its plans to open a brand new hospital. This Assistant RN Director would play a crucial role in the new ED's development from start to finish. Along with the new hospital's 20 beds, the Assistant Nursing RN Emergency Room Director will run the 45-bed ED at the Main Campus and ten beds at the health system's stand-alone ED.

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Assistant Nursing Director of Emergency Services will be responsible for daily operations, quality assurance, hospital compliance, and performance improvement initiatives. The Assistant ER Nurse Director ensures ethical practice and provides overall responsibility for the functioning of the unit. This leader will also help grow the department, educate leadership and staff, and implement departmental procedures. The Assistant Emergency Department Nursing Director helps set high nursing standards while promoting a collaborative work environment.

This new Assistant Nurse Director will support clinical coordinators, many with their CEN, Nurse Managers, and Emergency Department Clinical Nurse Educators. Nurses with MSN and an ability to show tangible metrics on their resumes will earn quick interviews. This hospital is located in an exciting area just off the Delaware coast and is not far from Philadelphia or Baltimore.
