The Area Director of Quality is responsible for ensuring that hospital objectives and standards of nursing care are met and exceeded. The ability to exercise mature judgment in the execution of programs and services is key to success. The ideal candidate for the CQO has great communication skills, as they will interact with many departments and levels of staff on a daily basis.

The Regional Quality Leader reports to the CEO and oversees Quality Management and Performance Improvement leaders throughout the Bay, ensuring that quality and patient safety programs are being implemented effectively. The CQO will often work autonomously to develop policies and procedures relating to Performance Improvement, Risk, Compliance, Clinical Excellence and Medical Staff Services on a system wide level for the Northern California region.

The Chief Quality Director will oversee a competent and effective staff to execute performance improvement projects, policy revisions, and preparations of accurate data reports.
