The Area Director of Psychiatric Services will join a hospital system that offers comprehensive services designed to meet the health care needs of the diverse communities of the greater Bay Area. One of the hospitals is a tertiary referral center in the area as largest private, not-for-profit medical center.
The Administrative Director of Mental Health Service Line will be responsible for proving leadership to the inpatient and outpatient mental health and addictions services provided at the Medical Center and across the Bay Area region. The Regional Director of Behavioral Health Services will be accountable for the development of the vision for the region’s Mental Health and addictions services, Mental Health inpatient and outpatient services, Electroconvulsive Therapy, Chemical Dependency residential and outpatient services for adults and adolescents and the psychiatric consultation service.
The Executive Director of Psychiatric Service Line will manage the ongoing assessment of clinical and quality outcomes as well as patient satisfaction in order to develop and implement plans to achieve best-in-class performance. The Regional Director of Mental Health Services will identify opportunities and implement plans for new program development and the enhancement of existing programs and services.
The Administrative Director of Behavioral Health Services will serve as the outward facing representative for mental health and addictions services with referral sources, County Behavioral Health Directors, other service collaborators, as well as community partners and leaders in the Bay Area; increase market-share for existing services; oversee business operations and the strategy for service growth and development. All work will be designed, implemented and performed in compliance with the hospital’s Health and System Mental Health policies and procedures, as well as federal, state and county regulatory guidelines.
In partnership with System Mental Health and Bay Area psychiatric and additions administrative and clinical leadership, the Area Director of Mental Health Services will integrate administrative and clinical leadership. The Regional Director of Behavioral Health will report to the System Mental Health CEO and collaborate closely with local/affiliate leadership, Clinical Directors and Clinical Managers for the region.
The ideal candidate for Regional Director of Mental Health Services should have Masters degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing or other related degree with FACHE preferred. The Area Director of Behavioral Health will demonstrate ten years of progressive management ability in providing administrative and clinical direction for all behavioral services in a system delivering a full continuum of psychiatric and substance abuse modalities required with experience working with patients with moderate to severe psychiatric disturbance, preferable in an acute care hospital based setting.
