The Ambulatory Surgery Manager of Infection and Quality control reports to the Director of Operations of the center. As a key member of the Ambulatory surgery team, the Ambulatory Surgery Manager of Infection and Quality control will be responsible for:

 

  • developing, implementing, and evaluating the Infection Control Program, Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Programs (including QAPI Studies), and Staff Education in the Ambulatory Surgery Center, so as to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
  • successful implementation, execution, and completion of Infection Control, QAPI, Staff and Physician Education and competency programs, as well as the temporary supervision of personnel involved with implementation, oversight, and reporting of special projects
  • Provide infection control education to all staff and oversee infection control surveillance of all staff and physicians, promoting good practices
  • Promote a positive, team-oriented and productive work environment
