The Administrative Director of Nursing will join one of these high-performing service lines and oversee both hospital and clinic-based Oncology services.
Reporting to the Vice President of Clinical Services, the Oncology Nursing Director will coordinate and oversee a large outpatient chemotherapy / biotherapy and radiation oncology service line. Hosting over 50 chairs in total, at 3 locations, this is one of the busiest ambulatory cancer infusion programs in the region. A dedication to oncology medicine will go a long way in establishing your ability to managing this 60+ FTE department that includes Certified OCN Oncology Nurse Supervisors, ONS Biotherapy and Chemotherapy Certified Registered Nurses, and cancer center support staff.
The outpatient cancer care services offered by this 400+ bed medical center and health system have expanded over the years to meet the needs of the community. The Director of Ambulatory Oncology will oversee a diverse department that offers both outpatient infusion and radiology services, pain management, detection and prevention services, treatment planning, and nutrition assistance.
The Administrative Director of Oncology Services should be an expert in building relationships, with a savvy understanding of the financial aspects of patient care. This person will work collaborate closely with financial personnel, planning and strategy experts, and marketing professionals to steer business for the Ambulatory Cancer Care Services department.
This Nursing Director will also oversee clinical activities of this outpatient Oncology Service Line. The Director regularly interact with over two dozen Oncologists who specialize in a full offering of services which range from cancer diagnosis and treatment, to clinical trials and research, to survivorship counseling and community support. A strong background in oncology nursing and a penchant for educating will very helpful in establishing yourself as a subject matter expert.
