The Director of Transplant will provide management, coordination, direction, oversight, and other support as required to a wide range of quality/ performance improvement, regulatory compliance, and staff education-related activities to the hospital’s Transplant Institute. These activities include but are not limited to quality improvement activities in support of clinical activities; development and implementation of policies and procedures related to quality improvement and regulatory compliance; conducts quality of patient care audits of transplant patients.
The Nurse Transplant Director will oversee areas of the Pancreas and Kidney with collaboration in the Heart, Lung, and other solid organ specialties. The Transplant Director will help develop clinical protocols and policy and procedures, including community education and public relations, transplant donor/recipient coordination and liaison function with organ procurement agencies. The Director of Transplant and Advanced Organ Therapies should have 7-10 years of experience in healthcare management, working closely with physicians and clinical staff with a Transplant background.
