A Healthcare System in the bay area is looking for a Board Certified Primary Care Physician Supervisor to work in one of their outpatient clinics by the beach. This is a great opportunity to work for an excellent Health System with an innovative, energetic, and dedicated team!
The clinic is located near the beautiful California Coast. They offer excellent team based care in a location that offers adult and pediatric care and registered nursing support. The teams are dedicated to improving preventative and chronic disease outcomes. The clinic offers comprehensive services including primary medical care, pediatric, family medicine, women’s health, onsite pharmacy, dentistry, social work, and behavioral health support. They are part of a healthcare system which has been serving the community and promoting healthy lives for 80+ years.
Reporting to the Medical Director, the Primary Care Physician Supervisor consults and works with other medical and/or mental health professionals in the community when necessary. The Primary Care Lead MD will also act as a physician member of a multi-disciplinary team for clinical work or program development. The Physician Supervisor must have minimum 2 years experience working as a physician in a primary care clinic, and at least 6 months supervisory experience overseeing a primary care clinic, including direct supervision of licensed staff.
Duties for the Clinic Physician Supervisor include directing and administering the medical program, providing clinical supervision and direction to all levels of medical/professional staff, including assigning, directing, and monitoring work. Also, the MD Assistant Manager will be conducting medical and physical exams, patient diagnosis, and coordinating the work of consulting medical specialists. The Lead MD will also prescribe appropriate treatment plans and prescribe therapy or rehabilitation programs. The Primary Care Lead MD will supervise interns and residents, prepare reports, confer with patients’ families regarding illnesses and treatments, and maintain prognosis according to the standards of The Joint Commission.
